Windows Picture and fax viewer

is there any way to turn the **** thing off? i want all my image files to open in MGI Photosuite not the stupid picture viewer. Does anyone know how?

p.s. i've tried changing the file association and its set to Open in mgi photosuite but the picture viewer uses 'Preview' not 'Open' and preview is not listed in the file types thingy.

Try highlighting a file that you want to open in Photosuite. Hold shift and right click the highlighted file. Click on Open With. There will be a list of programs you can open with. Highlight the one you want and check the box labeled Always use this program to open this file type.
