i just installed linux, windows cant connect to the internet... contacted isp and they said reinstall windows.... i tryed a system reboot, but it wont work, and my pc came with windows on the hd http://forums.massassi.net/html/frown.gif any ideas before i pay 20 to call compaq?

AGH! i cant install windows again because its on the hd.. which was erased:S methinks i need to go buy windows.. ah well... XP is lots better then ME:P

Looks like you're a little confoozled...
You might want to look into getting a friend to help or pay someone. Do you know how to clean load windows?

bv: my pc came with windows on the hd.. the restore disk points to the partition the backups on. however i deleted the partition by acident http://forums.massassi.net/html/frown.gif and my parents just paid compaq 60 for another year of warrenty...
basicly i called the tech support, and they told me to order another restore disk, whitch wont help.. but i found winXP for $99 http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif

join a college or find someone in college that can buy you XP for 5bucks, college discout rocks.
