Which is better Windows 98 or Windows 2000?
Just want to know if I should upgrade.

2k, no brainer
way better memory management, more stable (like mine has never, ever had a freeze in the past year that ive had it), more compatablility, faster. but you need a killer comp to run it.

Not really a killer computer, but I'd say at least 256 MB of RAM.

ms says xp needs less but it needs the same system as 2k to run well... that or you'll have to tweak xp and remove some stuff as I have *grin*

2K > all other windows. Period.
WinXP or 2K. But for the love of God do NOT go to WinME or you will hate life and probably end up bashing your skull in with ballpeen hammer.

I have win2k running on a 75mhz laptop ... barely... Needless to say, it doesn't crash!
