View Full Version : Frontpage extensions
I maintain a website using Microsoft Frontpage, but my hosting company doesn't allow Frontpage extensions - therefore, I can't use Frontpage features like feedback submission forms. Is it possible to insert such forms (with fill-out boxes, drop down menus, etc.) onto my website without using the ones in Microsoft Frontpage? Like javascript or something? Thanks for any help you can provide.

Excellent book, mostly. You need to be a bit imaginative once you get past the half way point. But it's really good for newbs up until that point.

download a few PHP example scripts using MySQL and in a few days you'll be building your own forum system (I know it works, I did it a year ago =)

Head to the local library and sign out a book during the Christmas holidays. Write down some key notes for future reference or go to a photocopier.

Use online tutorials until you have all the basics down, then just add functions to your 'vocabulary' by reading the PHP manual.

All the tutorials and reference you'll ever need.
Download the PHP Manual. It is available in multiple formats on various platforms. If you want to practice PHP and MySQL, install Apache or IIS on your machine and then download PHP and MySQL on your machine and voila! You have your own little webserver on which you can practice PHP and MySQL. No need to search for a server until you want to publish some programs.
