GTA3 probs

i must of had some loading probs with GTA3, i can't seem to get my text files to load. so i can't see any of the letters or words or anything. all my files seem to be in the right place and are all there but maybe you guys know something more than me.....

well my original copy was but i lost it and only had zipped files on an old comp

i also noticed i have no sound..... i downloaded a no cd crack so i can play without the cd, could there have been files that it needed from the cd to run that i might have forgotten to copy? but if that was the case wouldn't there be an error on trying to load the exe? whatever maybe i'll just give up on it

you can't actually play most games without a cd but with music.
most of them are made to read music off of whatever cd is in the drive (funny to be playing Half Life when you've got an enya cd in the drive =)
