i am purchasing either
K-byte 512MB pc2700 ram, Mushkin 512mb pc2700 ram, or Mushkin 512MB pc3200 ram. my FSB is 133 (i am running an XP1800+). so my two questions are:
1. will the ram run at full speed with that FSB? and if not will it run slower, or not at all?
2. how hot is that ram going to get? i have 2 intake fans and 2 outtake fans in my case, but neither set blows on the ram, i dont want to get ram coolers if i dont have to, but is there much risk of meltdown on these chips? my ambient temp is about 20-35 C varying on season.

1. Yes, it should run full speed...but why would you get 2700?? Your motherboard can only use as high as 2100! Anything above is overkill unless you're overclocking.

2. Not very hot. Um, I've never heard of people having their system RAM overheat, you should be fine.

my board can go above 133 it is just that my processor's designed fsb is 133 (my bios has a setting toi let the ram run on its own separate clock speed if needed). and in teh future i think ill be getting a new mobo.

Only worry about Ram heat if you got a horrible ventilation problem which I highly doubt you do, especially since you have fans, or if you plan on overclocking like mad.
