Recently my computer has been going so slow to the point that it is unuseable. These periods come in waves. For a random period it goes normal, then another it goes slow, all while just staying idle. I took some screen shots to actually show what I'm talking about.

Apps running:

What's Cidaemon in processes? It's huge, and... I've never heard of it. End process and see what happens.

Process File: cidaemon or cidaemon.exe
Process Name: Microsoft Indexing Service
Description: The Indexing Service runs in the background and catalogues files so that you can search for files containing a specific text string
Common Errors: N/A
System Process: No

It isn't this, all those processes have run on my computer since I had XP. I should also say that everything on my comp was fine and dandy until I installed new Redeon drivers and the latest Direct X.

Thanks for the help though.
