I have an old laptop that has both a floppy drive and a cd drive. I have a Knoppix based cd I'd like to boot from, however, that's not an option in the bios. This cd has a boot disk image on it, however its for a 2.88 mb disk, and I can't get it to write correctly to the disk, I've tried various machines and media, but with no luck, I always get a "can't find address" error.
So is there a boot disk of sorts that will locate the cd drive and tell the computer to boot off that (to greatly masticate the process)?
Thanks
Malus

Use rawrite. It's on the CD.

Doesn't work, it returns something like "cannot determine address".
Look on Knoppix' site for a boot image for a 1.44 floppy. Then use rawrite.

I tried a 1.44 meg image from an older release of Knoppix but when I try and use it to boot my cd (some version of STD), it gives a cannot find filesystem error. I know the cd is good because I can boot off of it on other machines.

Smart BootManager (http://btmgr.sourceforge.net/download.html) seems to do the trick.
