Ok, Im just starting out trying to learn the cog language. So far everything I've seen on it assumes you already know the verbs (functions, keywords) and what they are. Where can I get a list of verbs used in the language and what they do? I'm not new to programming though but I still need a list of what I can and can't use. Your help is greatly appreciated.

First of all, Welcome to Massassi. http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif

The DataMaster is a reference I wrote that explains every known Cog verb, keyword, and flag in JK. It also includes some tutorials to get you started.

You'll also want to download Parsec (also linked to in my signature) which is a syntax checker.

If you have any other questions, just ask. http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif

Well second of all (because SaberMaster beat me to it http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif ) a very big "Welcome http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif" to Massassi http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif

Much more than that, I can't help but repeat SaberMaster's above comment http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif. As far as writing cog scripts are concerned, DataMaster is the BIBLE for all your cogging resources that you will ever need (plus it's user-friendly, being HTML web-page based layout).

Parsec is equally invaluable (I use it all the time http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif ) with cogging being significantly more difficult/awkward to locate cog script errors without this utility...

It's also good to see that the JK/MotS community is very much still alive, with regard to editors and coggers alike, taking interest in the editing aspect of JK/MotS http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif

Feel free to call back here anytime with any questions, queries, comments, assistance needed etc - we're a friendly bunch in this forum and will do our utmost to help everyone (especially the newbies - afterall - weren't we all there at one stage?? - and some of us are still learning... http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif )

Hope to see you around and once again, welcome to Massassi http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif
