Not sure if this is possible, but I need a cog that'll scroll a texture accross the surfaces of a 3do.

not sure, but i used a cog from LEC that did that for mats, and it worked for the 3dos..

Do you remember which cog it was? The thing that concerns me is that I'm going to have to use ForceRemap to make sure there are no seams...so I need to be able to get the UV's all lined up nicely.

Actually, I was thinking about it, it was the matanim.cog or something like that.. it animates the cog, which would work if you create a map that has different cells to make it scroll.. understand?

Yeah, plan B was to make it an animated mat...but I was hopping to avoid that...

its impossible, as the sufaces of a 3do cant be selected like the surfaces of a level, you will have to make a multi celled mat, i think about 12 frames should make a practicaly perfect result.

I can't remember the cog verbs nor flags off the top of my head, but is the effect you're after, something similar to what happens when you drop a Sequencer Charge (top mat flashes red)? If so, then I remember seeing the verbs somewhere in the weap_seq.cog file I think....

Personally, I'm sure there is a way of scrolling a texture across a surface, but I just don't have the DataMaster at hand to look up any ideas... http://forums.massassi.net/html/redface.gif
