View Full Version : Any mp coders can have JKSG1 mod for an mp version

I'm practically giving my Stargate SG1 mod for JK away (even before I release it in sp mode) to any experienced jk cogger who is familiar with multiplayer.

Its not a 100% deal. the lag may be so bad cos of the models that you wont be able to make it for connections less than 56k.

Anyone interested post here?

DP's bullet holes would be AMAZINGLY USEFUL.

Also, for some reason, Ruthven's bullets do nothing in MP. This you must fix when you get the jkl.

I didnt speak for you Slaw since I knew you were woking on other things.

Its also possible that an actual team is created to make this new mp version, to make it easier on individuals

I'm not really considering levels anyway, besides, thats up to the person who takes over this mod for me once its released as sp.

Its just mp mod cogs, thats all...

Is the problem the same as it was in the teaser you released? If so I could try to work out the bug, but I can't say for sure that I can fix it. I don't have much experience with weapons.

YAY!!! I found the problem and will post back here after I fix the staff and zat. (I can e-mail the new code to you when I finish Ruthervain, just tell me an address)

The solution is posted at Hideki's site http://millennium.meekstreet.com/tutorials/?Custom if you actually want to figure out what I did. I don't feel like explaining and Hideki does a good job.

Well I fixed all three weapons and it works (minus the seifer cog error after dying) I also added a check as to whether or not the object being destroyed was a player, so you won't be kicked out anymore, instead, the host's weapon disappears (is destroyed).

Now that I have more time, I can explain sorta what I did.

I made a second cog which is used as a client cog that recieves a trigger just like hideki's site says. It's only dividing up the commands in the fire section (which one goes in the new cog due to the random shot generator) that was the semi-hard part. Besides that, I followed his site exactly and it works like a charm http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif

(If this was your problem Ruthervain, do I still get a copy of the mod like you said in your first post, even though I already fixed it. http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif please. hehe)

to late... there is no longer cog.. just code.. we cannot escape our own tangle hold.. soon cog will be no more than print("this is a level"); and all we have worked for will be forgotten....
