I love being redundant. Now onto topic.
Only one cog (in addition to the thing's cog in its template) can display a things messages using captureThing(). I dunno if this holds true for level cogs or not, I am assuming it doesn't override them. That IS a guess.

I remember browsing thru MOTS sp level cogs and seeing that phrase. I never really understood exactly what it does, except that it deals with calling cogs and whatnot

well i'll explain what i think it means..
if i place a cog in a things template that will when i damage it print on the screen "hey stop kicking me" i can only have one other cog that can resive the damage (and other) messages.
you make a cog rescive a things messages useing the capturething(thing); verb, so if i have two other cogs taht capture it (for instance a levle cog and an item cog for a bank) only one can actualy resive messages liek activated and so on if theres also a cog in the template...
unless unlimited level cogs can capture a thing.. inwitch case both can..
