    My baloney has a first name...

    It's Blastside -- my CTF entry for the Hub contest. This is the archi shell with temp lighting.

    yeh, the archi's a bit too boxy to be anything else.
    If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

    that acctualy does look good enough to be a low detail q3 map.

    the lighting is just purrrdy.

    The only sugestion I can think of is that tower thing in the middle of the thrid pic.
    Something about the way is comes up and stops at the same level as the rest of the archi around destroys the illusion of an open ceiling a bit.
    If you had that part extend just a bit above everything else it would go along way to making that area feel less boxy.
    It's the same thing in the first 2 shots where the horizontal pillar suports go just a bit above the wall they are connected to.

    does that make sense?

    The ground texture in the second shot makes me dizzy and naucious. Other than that, it's uber.

    Some minor updates:
    I've fully implemented the CTF cogs, so I now have a working CTF map to play in.
    I've did some minor surface tweaking here and there, and I have some level cogs to add as well... but i still have to actually light the map. Anyway, I'll be posting updates by tomorrow, hopefully. Thanks to all who have left their 2 bits!

    Arches should be smoother, I think. Outdoor areas could use more detail in a lot of parts. Indoor areas look nice, though.

    If you lighten the shadows I will be very disappointd. It looks *perfect* right now. Everything looks absolutely perfect. If I offered criticism I'd feel like a douchebag. That 2nd shot is absolutely unreal...
