Pommy, look at bit-tech.net's SSD comparisons. They post them often as new drives hit the market.

I think the favorites right now are Intel x25-m G2 or OCZ Vertex Series since both have Trim support and are extremely fast.

If you were looking to do it as cheaply as possible checkout this one:

Its the Kingston SSDNow V 40gb version which uses the same controller as Intel (it's fast), but lacks Trim support so you will have to manually maintain it. Most of the other versions of Kingston SSD's don't use the Intel controller and suck, so becareful.

My fairly clean Win7 installation without any games is taking ~20gb, just to give you an idea of how much space you might need.

Fly around in a ship like that, and everyone will be gunning to **** you up. It's like having a titan in eve. The expanded universe is ridiculous. Also those ships are ugly.

Well then you're left with the Executor, which is a damn fine ship and my personal favorite. It skims the line between too big to be useful and not big enough.
(I only said Sovereign before because, well to get a rise out of someone)

Well it's understandable, there's always been a lot of misrepresentations about size of starships in Star Wars, particularly the Executor, which was totally incorrect in the first Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessels.

And yes, anything larger than the Executor is silly. You have things like Executor class ships and DEATH STARS that are already disgustingly huge and impossible to build excess, you don't need MORE of it.
