Is it possible to let JK play midi-files. I'm not sure, the only thing that I no is that MP3 are not possible because it's programmed in another programlanguage.

Nope, JK only plays wav files.

Are you sure? Have you tried playing a mid in JK? Because until a few weeks ago, people thought it was impossibal to have 16-bit mats....

Yes, it has been tried (though not by me personally). You're welcome to try. But I can guarantee you it won't work. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif] Not even all wav files work in JK for some odd reason.

And technically, 16bit mats don't work in JK. The only reason they do work for some people is that their video cards are handling parts of texturing instead of the game engine.

Nods. and .wav files made with windows sound recorder don't work in JK, either. I recommend using Goldwave..

Jedi Knight uses Directsound.
Isn't it possible to make it play a midi-file using directsound???(and not the JK engine directly)
