ok, i did everything that the Patrolling Tutorial said. i go to put in the thing number, which they say is 5, and i get this error 5 not found (or somehting similar to that) message. ok, so i do a new jedi knight project, check everything, i do the same thing again, but this time i leave it to see how it works in my level. The enemy shows, stays in one place unless it sees you. So i got a bit ticked (or more like bitterly ticked) and came here for help. of course, i knew i was going to just go mess around with the cog afterwards, and i did and i got the patrol to work!!! ok, this is what you need to do:

Ignore the item number, put the number in last, or else it's just going to change back to -.1. I did that, and everything works fine now. oh, after you type in the 5, do not click anywhere on the cog thing, just cross out of it, or else it'll erase the 5.

I was using the newer jed with the tutorial and i figure that was the problem.

I hope i helped anybody who was/is having the same type of problem that i had!
