At the end of a level in a game I'm working on, Kyle needs to have a discussion with someone, while the player still has freedom of movement. I can alter one of the 'Kyle comment' cogs found on disk one to make him say a single line. But, I'd need the same thing, with four wav files played back to back, with the captioning at the top simultaniously. Anyone know how I can achieve this?

Use a sound editing program (A good one is GoldWave, www.goldwave.com) and mix the sounds. Then, in a cog use Print("you caption here"); to have captions.

To note:

you can have an actual conversation (as in interaction) in MOTS by using PlayerAction (there is a tutorial on PlayerAction at Massassi, or you could just look at the Far Sight cog), but it only works for MOTS. I made one once, but I don't have it on me, so if you want it, tell me, and I'll find it. (of course if you are doing JK, the whole point is moot)
