Hello! I was wondering, how could I attempt to make a gun COG? I read all the tuturials I could find, but... I more confused then when I started! I finished the 3DO, and it looks GREAT! In case you were wondering, it is the Assault Cannon, for my Dark Trooper Project(DTP). I can't possibly figure it out on my own. I never wrote a COG in my life, but I'd like to learn how.

what ARE you rambling on about, what part of the cog do you need help with?
You need to change what model the cog uses, what it fires, how fast? etc...

Do you have an IM or something? It sounds like some one's going to need to walk you through how everything works, and I wouldn't want to condemn you to the fate that befell me; scrounging information and studying cogs till my eyes bugged out.

You would get more help if you weren't so sarcastic.

Anyways, writing a cog from scratch is much harder than editing an original LEC cog for what you need. So just take the bryar cog and change some things. (IE, templates, fire rate, offset vector, etc). You will have to look up alot of verbs in the JKSpecs for this, but you can guess what most of them mean. You won't get anywhere without some knowledge of COG.

You'll also need to create a new template for the cannon's projectile. You don't have to make a completely new template, either. Take the primary conc template, rename it, and change the info for what you need. (IE, size, mass, flags[Read Hideki's tut and the JKSpecs for that], 3do, etc.)

That's basically what you need to do, but I gave a very rough description of it. Hope that helps
