Kinda a follow-on frm my last post :/

I edited kyle.cog and added it to my level to give people more weapons and ammo at startup but now for some reason whenever a client respawns, the host does too :/ kinda wierd, i think its b/c of all the extra respawn stuff in kyle.cog

so does anyone know what i can do about it? can i just make another cog called like giveweapons.cog and add that instead? or am i totally off track here [http://forums.massassi.net/html/frown.gif]

is there a known problem with putting kyle.cog in your level or anything? :/ plz help!!

not that I know of.... its probably something wrong with your cog in particular... but I dont know cog, so hopefully someone will post that can help...

Oh, fancy.. lol. That could add an extra touch to yer level.. lol

My first idea is, replace

newplayer:
call init_kyle;

with

newplayer:
if(player != GetSenderRef()) Return;
call init_kyle;


That worked for me when I had a similar problem.

thx again Raze i'll try it [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif] but in the mean time I tried another way of doing it that seemed ok, in the way that I wasn't respawning when other people did! but I don't know if theres any other problems that this creates.

I put a flag at the start, I think it was flag=0x240 maybe, something similar out of obsidians client/server cog tutorial to make the cog run locally on the machine and not sync. I hope it worked out ok and there aren't any drastic gameplay problems that it'll create [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]
