Is only the host's playerthing number zero in a multiplayer game? IE, would GetLocalPlayerThing() return 0 on the host's computer and different numbers on the other computers?

It depends on the walkplayer's ID number in the level. It happens that for all LEC levels the host is 0. This is not the case for many add-on levels however.
