i made a new ammo type (used the slot 116), gave it the same flags and settings as the energy cells ammo, but when i change the values in my COG from 11 to 116 it refuses to select the weapon...need some help here, why's it doing that?

Well, I don't know why it won't select the weapon, but if you mean the ammo counter, I believe that's hard coded, and might not be changeable.

nah, that's not it, i tried changing it to 14 which is normally used for...can't recall off the top of my head, but it might be rail charges or something like that. regardless, it didn't work

While you can make new ammo bins, the HUD will not display them. To get around that, you could temporarily reset the ammo bin that the exe wants to display with the value of your new ammo bin.

Don't know why your cog won't work, but the autoselect message is most likely your problem.
