Hmm, I dont think this post is gonna be helpful for a few reasons:

# Most people will see this post the wrong way...
# There are alot of good coggers
# And I'm easily the best cogger on massassi and no one comes close. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif]

My list (not in order):

Raynar (Just look at Rbots [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif])
Hideki (EP1 & 2, Cog tuts, and runs this forum)
Seifer (Apparently good at cogging. Writes cogs on this forum)
Rishka (Helps on this forum and wrote a good tutorial on cog)
GBK (No tough cogs, but helps writes a lot of cogs on this forum)

Aglar, HellRaiser, and lordvader haven't done too many cogs on this forum, but they are good coggers nonetheless.

I know the syntax flawlessly, but I would not put myself on the list since I have made no breakthroughs (sp?), and have written very few major cogs.

In no particular order:
Hideki
Raynar
Rishka
Obsidian
Uber[HOV]

There are quite a few cog masters, so a list of five is fairly limiting.

C'mon now, seriously, anybody with a basic understanding of programming, loops, counters, functions, ect ect and a copy of the jkspecs can cog.

I'll take a position similar to Aglar's..

I do consider myself to be a cogger, and a quite good one, but I would'nt put myself in the top 5.

Not that I mind... [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif]

Hideki just hit the nail on the head.

The best coggers, are not, in my opinion, just the ones with the greatest cogging ability. I would rate the old-school coggers over this "new breed" anyday. It's not just about being good at cogging; it's about keeping your ego in check, actually being helpful to others (and not just saying you've already made it, or being extremely vague and leaving the thread to die), and contributing to the community in a positive manner.

Those of you who do do this, I applaud you. It's funny that the ones who fit my "criteria" already know this, and feel no need to let everyone on the planet know.

With that said, here's my "respects" to some of the old-school coggers from the days of yore (in no particular order):

Pele
Obsidian
Hideki (still active today!)
Rishka (back from a long absence!)
Raynar (not as old school, but he certainly belongs up here - Rbots. 'nuff said.)
Uber(HOV)

Here's some talented coggers that I've noticed in a positive way:

Hell Raiser
Sabermaster
GBK
Emon
lordvader
Aglar (not too active in cogs anymore?)
Hebedee (same as Ag?)

Uggh, my brain is freezing up, if you're not mentioned here, and I normally would have put your name down, I'm sorry; chances are you don't even care about this list anyway.

Yeah, not too active, not too active in much of anything due to school. I'm learning C++ though. If a online friend asks for a cog, though, I usually do it, or throw it to anotehr online cogger if I don't have the time.

The best coggers are those who can make a cog for almost any situation. You could know everything about cogs but if you don't put it to use, it's useless.

As for me stick me at about rank 20000000 on that list [http://forums.massassi.net/html/frown.gif].
Ummm... Errr. Eeeeee.
What to do for a signature? Oh well, back to the umms and errs again

Seriously if there are such many coggers, that'll be cool.

cogger + hacker = cocker?

oops, maybe mixed them up in a wrong way...

I don't really see the point in saying who belongs in the top five, apart from those who think they should be included. Hi Siefer! [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif] (just joking)

Everything I learned about cog came from either Pele's original cog tutorial or Hideki's site - and of course the trusty JK-Specs from Code Alliance. These guys are the true cog pioneers.

The point of this thread I made is to not see who is the best cogger overall, rather who is the best people to help other people cogging..

↑ Up to the top!
