Quick question:

Thing numbers are local to each computer, correct? So a projectile fired on computer 1 might be thing 45, but on computer 2 it's thing 57?

I seriously doubt it. Things are added in sequence, so the server-side player will always be thing 0 (first thing added to the world). But I suggest you try it out.

It depends how you fired the projectile. If the projectile was fired locally on each computer, then of course the thing numbers are going to be different - this prevents verbs that normally sync from working on other peoples' comps.

But if the thing was created on all computers, then it's going to have the same thing number on all comps.

Same or SendTrigger with a thing ref in the param won't work.
