i can't write a cog to save my life, but i was wondering if it was possible to get something up so it would create a death animation that varies. like in JO. or 007. or, if thats not possible, than could you make it so it plays a different key if your hit him in different areas with different weapons?

Reply: I think you can but it would probably be very hard to do so. If you're talking about making it permenent then you would have to hack directly into the gob file.

Hmm. You could create a few more death keys, and a few new pups, and set it randomly on startup.

Ya, but could i make it so if you hit him in a certain place, it plays a certain key?

I don't think you'd need to bother with new puppets. You can just stop all of the dead player's animations a short while after the killed event. Then you could play a random keyframe.

With some vector coding, you could determine where the attack came from, and then you could decide which keyframe you wanted to play.

It depends on how much effort you want to put into it.
