How do I play one of the default sounds included with JK?

Youll have to define them in your symbols section, and use either 'Playsoundlocal' or 'playsoundthing' or 'playsoundpos'. The Datamaster (and CogPad [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]) lists the proper syntax for these commands.

What does the

channel =
do and what type of variable is channel, and should I declare it in the symbols section.

I have no idea what im talking about, but my guess channel would be a flex or int.

The Playsound commands return the channel that the sound is played on. Its just a regular Int. Normally, you wount need to save the channel, unless it was looping and you needed to use 'Stopsound()' to stop it, for instance.
