I'm trying to make the lighsaber into a sword, and was wondering how to get the light part of the lightsaber to go away. I tried just making a new model for it but it was still there is the middle of the model.

There's a number of ways to do that. Preferably, do this:
Make a transparent material and write a cog using the command below.

Or you could set all the lengths & radii to 0. (I think collides for those are somewhere else.)

the way i do it is to make a clear mat, make copies of it and rename the copies after each of the default jk saber mats. then put the mats in a folder called mat in the resource folder of jk. its what i do, i havent even seen the default saber mats in a while because i made a glow saber 3do and turned all the saber mats clear. just make sure that you get all the saber side mats and the tip mats.

i rename all my clear mats the same as the JK saber mats as well.

of corce if its a MOD you could compleatly rewite the saber cog and remove the saber entirely.

If I am making it for a MOD, and if I could rewrite the saber cog I would but I have almost no experience with programming of any sort.

cog is simple, and any way you can allways get a coger in.


thats not quite what i meant. its just that you allways dont seem to face problems, every now and then were talkinga abut GEO modes or something and you say "never happened to me"

you don't need experience. learn just look around in the saber cog and with the help of jk specs or datamaster you should be able to figure out what to chop out and what to put in, and when you do come across a problem come back here and someone is bound to help you.

So those are your two answers - JKSetSaberInfo and set everything to 0.00001, because 0 crashes the game for some, or rename clear mats to the saber mats.

It doesn't have to be the same sized mat, either.
