AI Synched COG
2003-07-11, 6:42 AM #1
I was recently told I need the AI Synched COG to put AI in my level because without it AI appears in JED, but not in the game when I start up.

I downloaded the file and got three .cog files and 2.tpl files.

Can anyone tell me what to do with these? I'm lost without them... And so are my precious AI.

The reason your actors don't appear is because JK won't let you have actors in an MP level. But that doesn't stop you from using Cog to create them ingame.

You should have a project folder for your level. In that folder, create another folder called cog. Put your .cog files here. If you're using JK, put the 'master.tpl' in your project dir, or if you're using mots, put the 'mots.tpl' in your project folder. (if you've already created new templates in this level, they will not be saved)

Now, open you level with JED. Hit F7. Add a cog. Select the /cog dir. You'll see your three cogs. Looks like you're supposed to use the _jk and _cli cogs for JK.

I should tell you that this 'MP AI' cog system doesn't create real AI. These cogs are also pretty badly written, they may only work in MotS.
