Hi there [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

I know that Stormtrooper's in the middle of updating/completing these his tutorials, but I don't think he'd object if I point you in the direction of his site, which takes a different approach to the currently submitted tutorials (well I found them useful, anyways...)

The link is: http://www.geocities.com/l337trooper/tuts

Hope this helps you with the progress of your mod [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

I'm not sure if that's the kind of weapon mod he's talking about, but it's nice to know they helped some people.

Anyway, your best bet would be to open up the weapon cogs and study them a bit, use the DataMaster and JKSpecs to find out what all the verbs do and then experiment a little, find out what happens when certain things are changed, that's about the only sure-fire way of learning cog (weapon or otherwise). The tutorials can give you a pretty good idea of what to do and how to go about doing it, but they're not always the most in-depth and can sometimes just confuse you.

You shouldn't worry about overwriting JK files - I use the path command to keep each mod in its own dir...

My tutorials in the DM will help you with learning Cog.

Good luck. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif]
