This is only an idea, and I'm just wondering if it will, or will not work. After that, it's up to someone else to code it.
Mouse movements would function as turning, and when in air, it would function as rotating.
The walk on walls cog functions very similar to the skateboard, as in that it can't go up 90 degree angles and such, and when moving fast at an incline, you can shoot up and come back down right on the exact same ramp, and if not, you 'fall.'
The only question, is if the following would be possible:
- Grinding would secure the players foreward and backward movements, and only leave the roll up to the player. If the player goes out of a specific radius of roll, they stop grinding and fall to the ground.
- When a player is not facing a specific direction (Perhaps projectiles fired out of the player in a foreward and backward direction would tell us if they're in the correct alignment) for landing back on the ramp, so that landing sideways doesn't still allow the player to continue. Also, this would apply if a certain key is playing when comming down onto the ramp, you'd again fall.
- When not comming down to a ramp, the player, instead of just lying on the wrong axis, would (with the projectiles) right himself, then play the falling animation.
- Fall animation would also secure all movement for a certain set amount of time.
- At a certain angle, the player couldn't stop, and if he attempted, the fall animation would play.
- Point BMs (over 500) could be used with the weapon bins, or the shield bins. I'd still like to allow the player to shoot from the board, so you could combat in the middle of a trick :-P
- Trick names could be displayed, as well as the points ranging as you add more tricks. This isn't necissary, but it'd be nice.
Yeah, it all seems pretty simple, the only question is... if it's possible?
