. . . This will probably sound stupid, but I just wanted to suggest it. Someone may even have already used/attempted this method before. I dont know for sure of that, but I do know this:
Many people have tried to get footprints in JK, like in snow or sand, and I've actually seen it pulled off quite well. I've seen it done with 3dos before, but I was wondering if there was an easier, perhaps more framerate efficient way. You see, would it be possible to have a mat with numerous frames (multi-celled I mean) that could be activated by the player treading on this. This probably wouldn't work, cuz you would probably need lots of surfaces and the directions of the footprints might be a problem, but maybe my vague idea could start someone off on a good one. I'm NOT talking about remapping the JK engine (some of you may remember that thread ) but I would like some system of footprints in *another* (sigh) one of my numerous level projects.
