In this release, there's a new tutorial for Timers and Pulses - pretty basic, but (as was pointed out) sorely lacking. I also added "continue" links at the end of each tutorial page. And the menu system now uses some javascript to make sure that the tutorial you're looking at is the same one that the chapter menu says you're on.

Completely unrelated, but: I took the CCDA (cisco certified design associate) exam today and passed with an 845. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif] I had been taking 8-4 classes all of this week for it, that's what delayed this DM update.

Yay! Another update! I read the tutorial on timers/pulses -- pretty straightforward. I also found one on threads. That helps my understanding about sleep/timer all that stuff a little more.

Congrats on the exam [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]. I took my midterms today and yesterday.

CCDA, eh? I wish I had the money to take those cert tests. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/frown.gif]

Uhh, it seems the new javascript code is acting p in Firefox.... Whenever I try to use the scrollwheel to chage the text size, it causes all the menues to activate, and *stay* activated. . . .but then again, it could just be a bug in my build of gtk2...

The javascript I added uses the load and unload events to reset the selection index of the selection boxes in the menu. That way, if you hit the back button, the selection boxes will be corrected. I don't know why that wouldn't work in some browsers - Opera doesn't seem to like using those events, but it doesn't cause problems. Everything works fine in IE and mozilla.

Sorry for the delay SM but I'm still trying to find that list of "missing" (a.k.a - the ones that got away [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif]) cog verbs...

Off the top of my head, I think one of the JK ones was SynchSurface() (for MP - no huge surprise with that aspect really, but hey [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif]). I'm sure there were a couple more that I jotted down, but it's sifting through my room with all the mountains of code snippets everywhere - far too many Java classes printed out... [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif]. I'll send you an e-mail when(/if [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif]) I find that list... [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif]

SyncSurface (without the 'h') is in the MP verbs section - I probably haven't missed a verb, because I took the list right out of jk.exe. But I'm sure there are some verbs with a description that's either too short or misleading.

So yeah, when you find that info, send me an email - thanks. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif]

Ah well - if you took it straight from the executable then I'm sure it's just me - I haven't downloaded DM 6.0.1 yet [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif] - t'is I just couldn't remember seeing it anywhere in the 0.5 release, that's all (or at least not under "MP" or "surface" sections). As I say, it's been known before now, that it could be just me... [http://forums.massassi.net/html/rolleyes.gif] [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif]

Anyway, I'm downloading the most recent DM release now and I'll let you know if I find anything [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif] - not that there's that much left that hasn't already been documented, mind you [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif]

PS: Sorry about the typo - I knew it didn't quite look right when I typed it... [http://forums.massassi.net/html/redface.gif]

PPS: Congrats on your CCDA success !! [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif]

Looks good enough to deserve a news post on the main page. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]
