towards the end of the thread i came apon the idea that a mat changes after a certain amount of seconds, so that would be a way to go past the 16 cell limit, and you can have a WHOLE PORN MOVIE! i meen-- comon guyes, you know you all want it.GBK or darth someone, you have the talent!

OK... Let's see... If it's no porn, then I'll help you.
First off, let's reduce frame rate to 8 or 16 frames a second. Then save all frames, batch them together in matmaster, 16 frames at the time, then in a COG we shall do like this:

Startup: SetSurfaceMat(tv,segment0); SurfaceAnim(tv,fps,0x0);
while(1) {
If(GetWallCel(tv)==16) { i=i+1; SetWallCel(tv,0); SetSurfaceMat(tv,segment0); SurfaceAnim(tv,fps,0x0); sleep(0.1); }

Basic idea, the 0x0 flags show that it won't loop, and the if tests for the last frame. Once that is done, reset animation and change segments.

Somehow I've managed to suspend belief that YourOwners (clan or individual, I care not now) could be such idiot(s). Until now. I can't say I'm surprised, but I am disappointed that such a suggestion has been made, but nevermind - for every two editors that try to keep JK alive for one more day there's always at least one editor that comes up with a "bad idea" (diplomatic phrasing)...

I for one will not contribute to any such notion/concept. Fine - if you want to for your own private use, then go ahead - just don't clutter up our forums (the genuine editors who care about the longevity and gameplay of JK) with this type of ludicrous, pointless tripe. Massassi has enough of a reputation without such ideas as this being connected with us, so do us all a favour and think before you post - surely you knew where this would end up and the responses you'd get?

Dear Massassi Helpers and Editers and Staff,
I am deaply sorry for the suggestion I have made. I used it as an example, without thinking and got different reactions than I thought I would get of the time. I will NOT use this cog to benifit myself in any situation other then the leagal future work that will at one point be submitted to massassi. anyways.. to get going with this, I think it would be nice for my level The NeBuLaToRy. I need my sky texture to play.. it has LOTS of frames, and 16, being the max, I thought it would be a good idea to somehow have the mat change after a certain amount of seconds, or after the celled mat has reached its final. into the next frames.

yo is still possibly the stupidest group of people ever to traverse the forums. By the way, you're not tricking me. The only reason you say what you say is because of the response you got. Your persona still carries the desire for porn in JK, thus you're no better a person to me, apologies or no.

In any case, there are entire forums devoted to in-game movies, where multi-celled mats are on a wall of a long vertical shaft. Cameras at each mat, and a cog that switches the mats directly after the previous has depleted. If you can't figure it out, what with 2 entire threads devoted to it, you obviously don't have the skills to do it, or to click the little search button at the top right of the forums.

JediKirby. If you really think your doing a good job keeping the editing community alive by critisizing others and putting people down, you can keep doing it. For one, it's not the clan, and for two, I said I wasn't going to use it for the cog. Your lack of interest to keep people posting here scares me. I've helped countless people before. And simply because I won't help you [turn your lightsaber on] to some multi-celled mats in JK doesn't mean I won't help you in the future. I simply think you need to realize how inappropriate that is.

Also, yo doesn't have much of a good rep here at massassi. It's not just me who is put off by people lacking in common sense.

Well, let's just assume that yo_wasup just used the porn movie as an example, it IS a very cool idea to be able to play 'clips' in JK levels. Could be awesome. Imagine a 'clip' of an exciting saber duel or something

Unfortunately, I'm too inexperienced to offer any help, lol. But I think the idea deserves attention, and if someone wants to use it for something bad, well that's his or her own responsibility, and that will have consequences. On the other hand, I can easily see how this concept could inspire a lot of people to do cool stuff in their levels!
