ForumsCog Forum → Freeze saber mat animation
Freeze saber mat animation
2004-07-31, 10:48 AM #1
This question was asked back in 2001 according to the forums, but it looks like it got flushed out.

I want to freeze the animation of the saber during the trail blur in my project, and see how that works. The problem is that the tip mat looks RETARDED when it gets too big, no matter what I try! I've even used transparent black for a mat but the saber just looks boxy.

So is there anyone here who REALLY understands specifically how LEC's saber works? Any other cogs or files involved other than weap_saber? Also, do you think there's a way that I can have 2 different mats for the tip? One for the saber base and one for the tip?

As always, help is appreciated! [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

Come on... someone must know a way.... In the 'animated mats' tutorial it mentions that if you do mats a certain way they'll freeze on the first frame... That method of animating mats uses 00_matanim.cog, is that just for levels? Please help, this is the only thing holding my mod back!
