Is player attached to an object?
2005-03-28, 12:13 PM #1
Hi!
As the subject says. Is there some way to test if the player is attached to an object? Like standing on it? I'm making a mod and I want to test if the player is standing on (attached to) an object with frames, like an elevator or some moving ship. Just want to do special camera movements to that.

I believe there's code for it already on these fora.

Well, I can't seem to find it... My search word was "*attach*".
Anyone give me a link, or a fresh code?

Searching, unfortunately, doesn't search the entire forum database. Only to about when the forums went down due to that virus far as I know. Anything from earlier than that has to be searched manually...

You could do what I described:
http://forums.massassi.net/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=26808#post343808
http://forums.massassi.net/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=15747

Or, you could try Sige's method:

The only one which would be applicable is Sige's. Yours detect surfaces, not things, Zeq.
