I've got my computer that I installed JK/Mots/JED on, but I left my CDs at home. Actually I asked my grandpa to bring my pc. but I forgot to mention all my games... DOH!

Is it possible to edit mots w/out a CD with JED?

If you copied the whole cd to a harddrive, maybe you could trick it into thinking that drive was a cdrom, but other than that I've never been able to do it without the cd

That is exactly what I do. You cant play JK like that, but you can at least edit that way. Its not a problem with the huge hard drives available now. Just make sure you copy all the contents exactly how they are directly into the C drive, no extra folders or it wont work.

Just make sure the file "jk.cd" is in the jk directory, and it'll run w/o the cd (provided it has all the resource files).

I think you guys are missing the problem. He doesn't have the cd with him so he can't make a copy of it.
