Hey, I'm making a CTF level for Jedi Knight. I'd like some sort of skybox, preferably 16 bit, in space with planets (a night time city would also be acceptable)

Anyone have any links with this sort of deal?

Funny, I was requesting the pre-fab skybox in another thread, and making my own skybox textures using Terragen. Unfortunately Massassi's files are still down, so nobody can really help you now. Maybe try sending one of the staff an email, requesting the skybox material to be sent to you?

No, I know how to make skyboxes. I just need textures FOR a skybox. I tried various sites but I couldn't find anything compatible with Jedi Knight.

What do you mean by compatible with JK? All you have to do is resize it to be 256X256 and convert it with Mat16 or JKPaint.

Well, whenever I download something it comes in some weird file format that I can't use. I don't know I'll try looking around some more I guess...

OK, what file format does it come in? It may be in a format for a particular game. You can get programs like Wally that convert images to the formats used by several games.

The only other thing I can think of, besides making your own textures using Terragen, is to e-mail Cave_Demon, who happens to be the only author of submitted skybox textures. I'm sure his email is around here somewhere.....

Never mind, everything is available at Massassi now. Check under Misc section for the skybox pre-fab, and the MATs section for the applicable mats.
