OK, can be that you have too many surfaces/vertices on your 3DO. Are either one of them under... What was it... 360?

Just select a couple of the sectors, hit enter, and change the layer name. You should keep the number of surfaces per mesh (layer) under 300. If you've got too few sectors, or if it still doesn't work, cleave it up just a bit, and make each section a new layer. This should fix your problem. Don't forget to remake the template.

Or, if the textures section of the 3do is missing some textures that the it is calling for, the game won't know what to do except turn it into that little box.
The best way to fix this is to open the 3do with notepad/wordpad and edit some #s (inside the 3do file it tells the computer what texture .mats to use)

Thats not neccessarily true. In my experiance, those textures just come out as dflt.mat...

And how would you know if i read them or not, I HAVE read them, I guess i worded my post wrong.

You said that you didn't know what was wrong but that after you cleaved part of it off, it fixed the problem. What you did when you cleaved part of it off is reduced the number of surfaces per mesh (layer) of the 3do (the max of which you had exceeded and by deleting part of it, you dropped back under the max).

Except for the fact that the first 3 post said everything you needed to know, yet you still managed to fix the problem incorrectly.
