Hierarchy NODES
2005-06-04, 12:26 PM #1
Would anybody be willing to do my hierarchy nodes for a SP/MP character I made. It doesn't use an old body, and I need to make all new keys. Tell me if it's possible. I will give you a full account of what I'm doing in a private message if you want, just let me know. Thanks.

By the way, if you want to teach me how to do Hierarchy, MUCH APPRECIATED. Thanks.

Open JED

file/import - import your 3do
press F4, turn off snap to grid

tools/ 3do hierchy - set up your hierchy by selecting a node, and setting the parent of that node. ie- the torso is the parent of the shoulder, shoulder is parent of forearm, etc. The hip should be the main parent everything stems from.

Now press the button "Edit Mesh XYZ"

select your pivot points by clicking with the mouse. Ctrl + drag to drag them into the correct position on your model. To see which pivot point you have selected, press enter.

When you are done, go to "sector mode," and select all your meshes.

file/export as a 3do.

now open the 3do in notepad, and change the insert offset so it wont be floating in the floor ingame.

Is this in JED .94? The link to it in the programs menu isn't working.
