I just made a 3do, and it was so big it made HOM... i didn't think that was possible

it's 500 JKU's tall, by 200 (I am using the space between the dots as JKU.. i'm sure that is not right...)

that equals roughly 3,000 feet tall...

Isn't if obvious? It's the palace of DFLT.MAT (and HOM).

Either that or it's a giant wang covered in DFLT.MAT (and HOM).

I don't actually see any HOM.

I do, it's in the last shot.

And I thought 1JKU == across one grid square.

Well, I assume it's a mountain.

Oh and Spiral, your pants seem to be giving you a wedgie in that first pic...

yeah, 1jku is the length of one grid square. Also, 1jku is approx. 10 meters.
May the mass times acceleration be with you.

hmm.. I'm confused as to why this was moved to the editing forum... I wasn't asking for ways to fix the problem.. I was just making this for fun, and decided that I would bring it to everyone's attention that 3dos can infact cause HOM....

The 3do is of the famious "SkyCity" tower that was proposed for Tokyo... it's 3000 ft tall, and has like.. parks and stuff in it... it mostly resembles the "Arcologys" from Sim City 2000.... basically it's a city all in one tower.... u can find info about it on google.. (the reason I made it is to see how big a 3do could be.... obviously 3000 ft tall is a bit much.... also, I has just seen a program about this city the night before on the discovery channel... it was quite cool)

Sky City was one huge tower... but at the end of the program they discussed linking 3 of these HUGE towers togerther making a HUGE building that is it's own city of almost 100,000 people... (one tower will make homes for 32,000 people... plus a number of visitors and employees - Sky City will have it's own jobs...)

3do's causing HOM? If only we could control it.

if ur making a level and calling it SkyCity, make sure you specifie something because JAS_Palidori is making a SkyCity level (ITs a city in the sky) lol

It sounds awsome, and that hom... wow lol

As far as I can tell, the HOM is only occuring in the last screen because of the distance that JK will render a level surface. The rest of the screens seem to have that perspective texture warping thing that goes on with grid like textures.

That gives me an idea... :em321:

The HOM effect is not caused by the 3DO i think, remove the 3DO, go on the same place like in the 4rd shot, move you mouse a litle bit (so it can cause a visible hom) and post it so i see it.There is a deepth-view limit in jk/jkm that limits the view in depth range, so very big places becomes HOMs. That was in good old days a problem of DarkForces too :em321:

Please correct me when im wrong. :o

Greets frequent.

But it's only 50-100 JKU's tall (depending on his grid settings). Hell, even if it was 500 JKU's tall, it still wouldn't be hitting the view limit.
