I recently was bored and decided to figure out how some of my old games work. Turns out that Droidworks (a kids game) uses many of the same things as JK. Would it be allowed to port some of these things? (cogs, 3do, mat, pup, etc)
I've got a website. It's at Geocities because I'm too cheap to get my own site.

I doubt it, but who would care anymore?

Right, I'm going to try making a JK level based off Droidworks. The way it worked, was that the player chose 3dos and the game automatically attached them and created a 'walkplayer' based on how the player chose parts.

Anyway, how do you combine many meshes into one? (like the player 3dos)

Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine, JK, MotS, and Droidworks all share the same basic engine so as a result the format of the resources is gonna be the same on all I think. Hmm...

You might want to be carefull if you're thinking about using stuff from the Indy game. Paramount made it pretty clear that you cant legally edit the game or use its content in any way.

Oh, come on. Most stuff posted here will never leave Massassi anyway. They won't ever know of it's existence.

you guys still haven't answered my question! How do you combine many meshes into one 3do? like ky.3do

You import them into jed, arrange them, then export them as a single 3do. Jed uses it's layer names as mesh names in the final 3do.

beware of jed's tendency to murder texture coordinates when moving things

Why is the answer to why always why? Why is there no final answer to why? Simply why not? Holy cow, this is pretty deep, meaningful **** I wrote. Glad I wrote it down. Oh man."
