I don't have screenies yet. Maybe tomorrow.

I made some really intricate tree 3do's yesterday from scratch (inspiration or something). When I went to test my level though, the trees were not visible, and in their places were small dflt.mat cubes.

I'm sure you guys have encountered this before. What is a boy to do?

check your vertex count and make sure its not over 512

"I wonder to myself. Why? Simply why? Why why? Why do I ask why? Why do I need to find out why? Why do I have to ask why as a question? Why is why always used to find out why? Why is the answer to why always why? Why is there no final answer to why? Simply why not? Holy cow, this is pretty deep, meaningful **** I wrote. Glad I wrote it down. Oh man."

Well then. Problem solved, thank you much. Each segment of each limb was pretty much octagonal, with an average of 5 segments per limb, etc. etc. etc. I had better just export the individual limbs as 3do's and stick them to a 3do trunk, don't you think?

Friend14 said something about making his trees sway. Good tutorials anyone'd suggest?

You don't even need to do that, 512 seems to be the vertex limit per node in a 3do. You can have as many nodes as you want in a 3do, so it doesn't need to be multiple 3dos. To make them sway, you could open up the hierarchy editor in JED to edit the pivot points and stuff and then use PJedi to make keyframe animations.

All you have to do is break up the tree into different layers. Make sure that there's less than (about) 512 surfaces per layer

Works great now, thank you.
