Is there a plug-in that'll give GMax 3do support?

GMax supports MaxScript I think, so you could try BoBo Fett's 3DO Export 2. It's on the Hub.

Yeah, Gmax supports Maxscript. So does this mean anything in maxscript will work with Gmax? Thanks for telling me about the exporter. :D

I'm not sure, I remember hearing that it would. You'll just have to try it.

Oh crap, I finally ran the script today, but the exporter window doesn't have 3do in it :(

That's not how you use MaxScripts. There's a panel tab for it (like the panel where you create primatives and stuff). You run the script through that.

I found the tab... what do I do with it now? Sorry, I haven't used Maxscript that much before...

There should be a button called "Run script". Click that, it opens a file dialog. Browse to the 3do Export 2 script and click open. On that same panel, the 3do Export 2 options should be shown. There should be a pulldown of all loaded scripts. If you can't see the 3do Export stuff, try deselecting and selecting it from the drop down.

Thanks for the help. I finally figured it out today, but apparently Gmax's maxscript has "file create" disabled, so I can't export things with maxscript :( Only with plugins. Oh well, I'll figure something out, even though I'm too cheap to register Milkshape. Maybe Blender has something, so I can export the 3do as a MD3, import it into Blender, then export it as a 3do.
