16-bit transparencies

I have a 16bit grate texture and I'd love to make it partially transparent, but I'm having trouble with that.

I'm using mat16 v1.1 and according to its history file it should be able to handle those, however when I save the mat with transparency (which shows up correctly in mat16) it won't show up ingame at all and looks all green in JED.
I tried saving as transparent both with and without having "Mat Transparency (ARBG 1555)" in the options checked, but to no avail.

Is there something more I have to do?

I have had the same problem with this version. However, whenever I used the previous version of Mat16 v.1.0 everything has worked out for me. Try the previous version. It should handle 16-bit transparencies just fine. :)

make sure you're converting an bmp as jpgs don't do transparencies very well.

Thanks! Saving it in Mat16 v1.0 indeed fixed the problem.
