JED won't let me test level
2006-06-02, 6:46 AM #1
For some reason when I try to save JKL and test I can't get the game to launch. I've been editing JK for a long time, and this is a weird problem. It also doesn't happen on my other computer. Any ideas?

erm, make sure your level settings are right, F8, and make sure the name of the JKL is updated for the Episode.
Code:
if(getThingFlags(source) & 0x8){
  do her}
elseif(getThingFlags(source) & 0x4){
  do other babe}
else{
  do a dude}

:psyduck: PsyGris says: Be sure to check the test .bat file for the correct filepath for JK.EXE!

Just to elaborate...

...in particular, make sure that the [yourlevelname].jkl matches [yourlevelname].jed EXACTLY.

So if the name of your jed file was poopooheadfun.jed, then the jkl file should be called poopooheadfun.jkl. If you want the jkl to be a different name, you'll have to resave the jed file to the new name you want it before saving and testing the new jkl file.

make sense? good. :D

It wasn't an F8 issue. My MotS directory was just in the wrong spot. Silly me. :)
