To whom it may concern,
I was unable to find any tutorials that specified how to take multiplayer skins and set them to replace Kyle in Single Player.

Where do I find the mats and how do I make them replace the Kyle Skin?

Thank-you for your time,

I'm not sure and I can't verify at the moment, but try opening ky.3do in notepad to see a list of the textures. The 3do should be in res2.gob/3do and the mats in res2.gob/3do/mat...hope this helps.

i think you can just change the 3do entry (and pup, if needed) on the walkplayer template, then compile. it's an easy thing to test.

Truth. Except the pup thing. All multiplayer characters you play with in Jedi Knight have their own 3dos that work with ky.pup. PUP files basically tell the game how to animate your 3do file, by activating the animation files .KEY.

You don't need to bother with mats or all that if you are referring to a .3do file that comes with the game. But if you open up a .3do file using notepad or wordpad, you will see the mats that are required for that 3do.

If you have custom 3dos and mats, like a mod, then you need to put them in 3do/mat folder.

But if you just want to change single player kyle to, say, Commando, change the Walkplayer template to say "model=kya11.3do"
This is retarded, and I mean drooling at the mouth

If you want to add characters to your character selection screen, you can edit models.dat :)

or just rename the 3do to ky.3do
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.
