Posted this on the hub but figured it wouldn't do any harm here as well.
Heyyo. After a grueling school year I'm looking forward to having some time off this summer (provided I don't run out of dough and be forced to work full-time). Since I'm studying traditional and stop-motion animation I think it'll be good animating practice to make some running/jumping/saber-swinging animations for my beloved forlorn mod.
Now, so the animations I make aren't restricted to use in JK only, I'd like to make them using full-fledged multi-format 3d animation software and then write a converter (either as a plugin or as an external tool) to convert to/from .key files. What do you recommend? I need something that'll support character animation on a hierarchal multi-joint structure (such as a skeleton) and that will translate reasonably well to JKs puppet/mesh system. I've never done any 3d animation outside of PuppetJedi so I'd appreciate your input.

Dreams of a dreamer from afar to a fardreamer.
