Empty Hands

Simple question really, though obviously not sure if anybody will be around to answer it! Thought I might as well try anyway.

On first person in Jedi Knight/Mysteries of the Sith it is impossible to fully empty the view, as you always have the tip of the gun or the fists showing - is it possible to empty the first person view? Can this also be done on Multiplayer? Perhaps a simple cog? (I put the post in here as I was not sure if it was cog related/I'm missing something simple)

Any help anybody can offer here is very much appreciated. Not really expecting anybody to remember how to cog, let alone read the post mind you :)

Ahhh.. memories being back here on this page!

Why exactly do you want to remove the weapon from view? Are you trying to take a screenshot without the gun?

Just pull out some thermal detonators, hold down the fire button, and snap your shot.

Or, open Jed, and make a blank 3do to replace one of the weapon 3dos. Should work anywhere from MP games to SP games to Counter-Strike games. :P

Thermals! Ahhhhhhhhhh why didn't I think of that. Doh. Genius, good man.

Cheers for that. Mainly was to enable a CS/Half Life style floating spectator camera for recording stuff. With a gun sticking out it'd look poor obviously - turns out by holding secondary fire on the thermals you get the "no hands" look I was looking for.

Much appreciated!

If I remember correctly, when you were building a level and if you never set the start-up to give player weapons and what not, it would start you with 'empty hands' untill you picked or pulled something out

Yeah, there's a weapon in the items.dat file that is before the fists, it's called Null.

It's what the player has in that very senario, Zanardi :)

This is why Massasi is, and always shall be the most awesome place for any JK series editing - everybody's so helpful!

I miss the simple days of JED when throwing a bit of coloured lighting in a level made you king of the world :P
