how do i scale a 3do in zed?

A placed thing or a 3do imported? Imported 3dos can be scaled using the F9 tools.

Placed things cannot be scaled.

imported.. i'll give it a try.. thanks

And for that matter ZED's scaling messes up textures so you better use JOKE for scaling, import the 3do in ZED to remove EXTRA LIGHT 1.0 from all surfaces and then re-export it.

ok.. i'll try that out.. i just need a small version of that imperial shuttle for a cutscene

Why does it have to be smaller?

Because Im using a texture for a planet (you can only scale a 256x256 texture so big)... and the small version of the goz ISD.. so it would look better.

Use a bigger texture

im using stock mots.. isnt that the texture size limit?.. i know i've tried 512x512 and im pretty sure they didnt show up in game

The texture size was increased for JK, not sure about MotS. However, you cannot use mipmaps with textures larger than 256. For a planet, you wouldn't want to, anyway.

The only limit that wasn't busted for MotS was the adjoin limit.

Ok, since this is a planet. Get a large image, even 1024. Cut it up into 4 peices and apply said maps to 3do or whatever it is that is your planet.

That's problematic because it's difficult to align the textures since JK doesn't clamp textures to edges like you'd want on a skybox. Also 1024 would yield 16 pieces.

Just use a 1024x1024 texture.

Also, none of this should matter. MysteriousSith, it sounds like your planet texture has mipmaps when it shouldn't. The size in JKUs of the planet and spaceships doesn't matter, what matters is how large they are on screen. Unless your planet MAT has mipmaps, which are applied at further distances.
