How about a useable gattling gun? I have many reenactment catalogs that have nice photos of guns, clothes, etc. I can scan, if you need a resource pic of almost anything (clothing, weapons, items, etc) e-mail me at trumpet87@aol.com and I'll look for a pic and scan it.

There is one thing that needs to be decided right up front. JK or MotS?

If MotS - I would suggest changing the eweb to a gatling gun (those things weren't exactly portable).

But the gatling gun, wasn't that at one time portable. Ever see it in Duke Nukem: Zero Hour. Something of that nature.

As for shooting off a hat, make a regional damage sector above the player's head. When it is hit, no damage is dealt, but the player creates smoke, and the smoke template is a hat template. Then have the 3do change when hit in the hat region--to a version of the player 3do with no hat. No bother making the hat come back-- it would come back when you die.

On the Duke Nukem thing (actually goes back farther all the way to Wolfenstein) its a minigun. Gattling guns were REALLY big. We can probably get away with it though.

JK's engine is easier to work with? What do you mean by that?

hi (please not the lowecase first letter and spelling of my nickname) :-)

here is the beginnings of the bank level (provided the image works) the bank is the only building at the moment but there will be more and the rocks in the background are 3dos, Sithlord is working on a new backdrop, but my suggestion is to use a sector damage cog to stop people going to far away from the buildings. What do you think?

If you're wondering what's on his head, he has tattoos all over his body. He has a skull on his forehead, hearts with swords through them on the sides of his head, a shotgun of top of his head, a purple sun and a cactus on the back of his head, and snakes on both arms.

Yo Zuk im working on a cowboy that you u can use as your partner, but some one has to make a cog to make him on the players side. I knew how befor but i havent done it for a long time. So if some one knows how to do that then it will work. Use him as a single player modle if you want. I will get some pictures as soon as posible.

Also how many levels are going to be in it. Like try to make 10. That would make it fun and then make other ones for a continuing. SOUND GOOD??. I will send you a pic of my shot gun 3do later, right now I have to continue the skin. and one more thing. Change the saber to like a sword or something good.

I'm nearly finished my ridable horses. Zuk, I changed them a bit tjhey look much better now and skinnier. I'm working on the cogs and keys now.

Here's my idea:
In the town level that aingram64 is making you could have say four differently textured horse 3dos in a stables. When you activate a horse you get on it and it changes the 3do to your character on the horse. This means that we would need to have all the skins ready to do this so that we could make the skin on horse thing. We would need different cogs for each horse because of the different color (they would need to change to different models) once you activate the horse it plays a mount key and you get on it. Then it becomes ridable. You will be able to do the following things on the horse

1.) Trot (replaces walk)

2.) Canter (fast-run close to gallop-replaces run

3.) Move anywhere

4.) Jump

Also I'll need to make keys of how they use the weapons on horseback.

When you want to get off the horse you would have to take it back to the stables before you can activate it to get off. Not sure about that part. Need an advanced cogger. If a player dies while on a horse the horse does not die. Just the player who will slump down on the horses back.

That's my horse system. I'll get working on the rest soon.

Work has gone insane lately and I have a lot to do with my other editing projects and some family stuff going on.

I guess what I'm saying, unfortunately, is that I will not be able to be an active member of this TC. I will however try to be available as a consultant. I am pretty good with storylines and have been to a lot of the wild west's famous sites (Alamo, Tombstone w/ boot hill and the OK Coral, Coffeyville Kansas where the Dalton Brothers died in a double bank robbery gone wrong). I may also be able to help in beta testing and troubleshooting.

Some spaghetti western trumpet solos would be cool for cutscenes (like in Outlaws). I play trumpet, so I might be able to help, I don't have an orchestra at my disposal though, so I'm pretty limited. But I really like western trumpet solos and I've tried a few. So anything music related, I can help with actual work or suggestion
