I kinda feel dumb asking this, but how do you get it to start with Kyle holding a weapon? Right now I gotta push 1 just for fists to come up. I'd like more options, like start out with the pistol and have the lightsaber. How you do this with JED?

When you're making the level and under Episode Editor you go under the COG menu and it'll bring up a menu in which you select what weapons he starts with

"Create Startup Cog" yeah, I tried that but it doesn't work. Maybe I'm doing it wrong. The bryar pistol is checked but when I start the level I have nothing in hand. I check the lightsaber and when I start the level I don't have it at all. What "updates" and "saves" do I need to be pushing to get it to work?

Are you using save jkl and test? If so its not seeing the startup cog. Either use save jkl and gob (then play it through the game like a finished level) or the jktree plugging in Jed to put it in the right place (then you can use save jkl and test).

thanks, GOBbing it worked. I also hit "create Jktree" under plugins, we'll see how that works.
